Posts: 4 01/30/12 00:24:50	Tags : None Hey, I am a fresh member to the site, looking forward to meeting new people and having some great conversations. I have been wanting to join for a while, just been busy with school and moving. I am a college student, branching out into new territory and learning new things everyday. Over the past few years I have become extremely focused and addicted to the back country and all the excitement that nature brings to us. I have been a hunter for years, but have recently stepped into new shoes. I am currently preparing for my first archery season. I plan on covering some serious countryside during the off season as well as during the hunt. I am always looking for advice or just a good conversation, so feel free to contact me, Thanks!

Posts: 1467 02/04/12 19:38:48	I am in Cody, north west corner, east entrance to Yellowstone, 5000' elevation surrounded by mountains. I left Albany, Oregon, between Salem, Corvallis, Eugene, and Lebanon. So mostly the Willamette valley.

Posts: 474 03/11/12 18:10:46	I live on the edge of the Willamette valley, very close to Corvallis. I love the state of Oregon, and especially where I live. It is 45 minutes to the coast, 30 minutes to the top of our local mountain, Marys Peak. The Cascades are less than two hours away and the big city of Portland about 1.5 hours away. There is so much to do in this area. Hiking, biking, backcountry skiing (on Marys Peak or the Cascades), fishing and for those who like it, hunting. This is just the stuff that is close by, farther to the east and south is equally impressive terrain. Welcome to Oregon!

I would be fine with moving back there!

Gore-Tex definitely helps us enjoy the state we live in while keeping us dry.... since rain is almost a guarantee (or liquid sunshine)! I hope you are able to have a great many adventures!

Posts: 221 04/12/12 14:58:32	Right on! Yeah; I just recently made the long trek (50 miles) over from WA and moved back to my home town. LOVE IT! Everyday I look around at my surroundings in amazement of all the beauty and possibilities that somehow I neglected to notice when I was younger.
